There isn’t much worse than having to endure a blocked toilet, is there? The stench, the mess, the potential of having someone come round to witness some of the atrocities that you’ve sent hurtling round the u-bend, only to be fired back up when encountering a blocked pipe.
But, amid all this grim nightmare fuel can come some genuine moments of hilarity, as a water company have proved with their recent revelations.
South West Water recently shared a TikTok video, which went into a little depth about what was causing toilet blockages in Exeter, Devon.
The video, entitled ‘The 5 Weirdest Things That People Flush Down The Toilet In Exeter’, may not sound like the most gripping piece of viral content you’ll ever witness, but it’s certainly raised more than a few eyebrows with some of the inclusions in the list:
- False teeth
- Bed sheets
Seriously, WHO IS FLUSHING BED SHEETS DOWN THE LOO? HOW LONG DOES THAT EVEN TAKE? HOW MANY FLUSHES?
Money is somewhat understandable, as it could conceivably drop out of a pocket without being noticed. Glasses and false teeth is somewhat worrying as you’d imagine whoever dropped either of those things would notice that they’re gone before having the chance to flush them away.
Underwear is a slightly troubling inclusion because just how bad does a pair of undies need to get so that the only option is to send them down the porcelain?
South West have since followed the video up with a second version, this time around the curious toilet blocking habits of the people of Launceston.
- Children’s Toys
- False Teeth
- Soft play balls
- £20 notes
RIP to all the toilet blocking goldfish we lost in Launceston.
