A man has been arrested in Hull after becoming involved in a brawl at a bookies, where he was found to be in possession of a screwdriver. It’s an arrest that has earned him an unfortunate nickname.
Humberside Police were on patrol on Beverley Road on Sunday afternoon when a fight broke out just outside a betting shop on the corner of May Street, west Hull.
Officers separated the men involved in the scuffle, discovering the hardware one of them was carrying. He is now in police custody for affray.
Following the discovery of the screwdriver, Humberside Police took to Twitter to share the tweet, “One adult male in custody for affray this afternoon. Officer came across the start of a fight outside the betting office in Beverley Road/May Street.
“The offender was found in possession of a screwdriver #BobTheBuilerInCustody.”
As if the bloke’s day hadn’t been bad enough already.
